Here's how I'd rank the main ones (no content creator packs/music stations) There will be a autumn sale around Thanksgiving, so I'd recommend waiting so you could pick up a couple. You missed the Halloween sale by a couple of weeks unfortunately. I'm sure there is something out there, but I've been enjoying it as is!

As for mods specifically for this dlc, I don't have any installed and haven't heard of any yet. The base game gets a bit stale after a while and this allows for a fresh addition and goal. It won't redefine the game for you, but I think it adds enough to be worth picking up especially on a sale. They are also a money making opportunity.or a money pit, depending on how you run it. I really like how the varsity sports puts a strain on the road systems and transportation on game days, because it adds a challenge to creating an efficient system. You can incorporate varsity sports to them and create a large section dedicated to education that looks very different from the rest of your city.

The dlc allows for multiple types of higher education like community college, technical institute, and a university. It is a bit formulaic, but I like the ability to add a college campus that isn't just the one size fits all university building. Could you replicate it all with mods? probably, but I think a lot of the mods require Mass Transit to unlock the functionality they provide, too. There are also more road types, with the most notable ones being 2- and 4-lane highways. (and also it's easy to spare one of the platforms for out-of-town trains) There's also a 6 train lines and a metro line train station, which is nice if you end up having a big commuter rail nexus. and because I kinda dislike surface metro stations.) The new monorail transit is also better-supported than metro in some ways, since it not only has the crossover station, but it also has a monorail/bus crossover station. (Admittedly, I haven't, because I have Mass Transit. I personally think the train/metro/monorail crossover station may be worth the price of admission on its own, although you can get some similar things (for metro, at least) in the Sunset Harbor DLC as well. It depends how much you enjoy the transportation optimization part of the game, I suppose. Have suggestions for the sidebar / topbar? Mail the mods!
